We are pleased to welcome John Sherman as our featured poet at Poetry Night on Wednesday, October 14. John is an accomplished poet, writer and photographer and has received several awards for his work. The manuscript for his book Marjorie Main: Rural Documentary Poetry earned him a finalist position in the Walt Whitman Award competition of the Academy of American Poets.

One of his poems, A Bowl of Possible Peas was chosen for a bus stop along the Cultural Trail in Indianapolis.

We are looking forward to hearing from John on October 14.

The Allman Brothers Band fused blues, jazz, and country styles to create their own, distinctly American sound. The “Brothers” formed in 1969, released their iconic album “At Fillmore East” in 1971, and played with various combinations until 2014. At the core of the group’s sound were the two guitar harmonies and soaring solos.

We have created “Blue Sky Dogs” as a celebration of the ABB’s unique sound.

“Blue Sky Dogs” brings the ABB experience full circle with the “two drum” percussion section of Joe O’ Connell and Nick Mallers. Their rolling rhythms will remind you why Jaimoe & Butch remain the greatest drum pair in rock history.

Brazil, Indiana native Henry Lee Summer is a self-taught musician known for blending rock, R&B, country, and blues. Since beginning his career as a teenager, he has sold more than one million records, performed with artists including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie Money, and Chicago, and appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show and Late Show with David Letterman.

The The Jingle Bell Rockin Tribute Band is a 10-piece group that honors Hoosier country singer Bobby Helms and his 1957 holiday classic, "Jingle Bell Rock"

The Sound is a country band from Nashville, Tennessee. Comprised of

brothers Levi & Jacob Mills along with their dad, Rob, they are known for their transcendent harmonies and magnetic live performances. 

In May 2025, the trio began posting short clips singing classic country songs in a hotel stairwell. What started as a fun, easy outlet for sharing some of their favorite music became a literal overnight sensation. Before the end of the year, the entire series surpassed 100 million views and had introduced them to 750,000 new followers.
